Mission Statement

The CORSAR team consists of local, state, private and federal organizations which are dedicated to helping preserve lives by working together anywhere in the Southern Region (Coos, Curry, Douglas, Josephine, Siskiyou, Klamath, Del Norte and Jackson Counties) in search and rescue missions.

Our mission is to foster regional communication to provide and coordinate personnel, equipment, education and training for the effective delivery of Search and Rescue services in the Southern Region.

The CORSAR team will provide trained search and rescue personnel, search management and other related resources to federal, state, and local authorities to further safeguard and save lives.

The CORSAR team will act as a resource center by providing a database of mission ready search personnel, specialty teams and equipment for deployment on a regional basis. It will promote communication among search and rescue personnel and related organizations in the Southern Region. Ultimately, the CORSAR team will strive to improve the level of expertise by continuing education, training, and team unity through cross training and sharing of ideas, expertise, and resource exercises.
